Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Quite a few years ago I was diagnosed with DeQuervain's syndrome, which is an inflammation or a tendinosis of the sheath or tunnel that surrounds two tendons that control movement of the thumb. It's similar to carpal tunnel syndrome, in that it is a repetitive motion injury of the hand. It caused me a lot of discomfort, and I ended up getting steroid injections, having surgery, and doing physical therapy for it. In hindsight, I wish I had skipped the injections and surgery, or at least held them off until I more fully explored other options. My only medical opinion was from a hand surgeon, and I think he may have shortchanged the other options that may have also worked. Now I'm starting to have some issues with my carpal tunnel region, and I certainly will be more fully exploring everything that's out there. I don't want to rush into possibly unnecessary surgery, with all of it's implications, and I can't take many pain medications, because of other medications that I am on. One thing that I am most likely going to implement in my carpal tunnel relief plan is a support splint. I'm looking at the IMAK SmartGlove. I like that it's made of washable, breathable cotton Lycra, and that it has a massaging ergoBeads™ pad under the wrist, which cushions and improves circulation. That would be a smart conservative step to take in keeping my hands healthy.

I have suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome on & off for about 18 months and like to continue my research into the ailment regularly by checking out related blogs. That's how I found myself at your site.

I've tried about a dozen different products and treatments ranging from cortisone through to prescription NSAIDs and everything in between. About 2 months ago I came across a product called Penetrex via a referral from a guest I had in my home through a family memeber. He is an orthopedic surgeon who knows his stuff and he said to try it because he had been hearing good things about it from patients as well as a couple of contemporaries.

Anyways...to make a long story short...the stuff works. It is what is known medically as a transdermal anti-inflammatory. It is not some miracle snake-oil that claims to offer an overnight cure. What it did do was reduce my suffering dramatically within about 1 week and my level of pain has not returned but instead continues to improve incrementally.

Give it a try....it was developed by a pharmaceutical biochemist and it comes with a no questions asked guarantee. If you're suffering to the same extent I was I can assure that giving it a try is well worth the 20 bucks.

And NO!...I am NOT affiliated with the product in any way and have nothing to gain by telling other people about it. I simply know what it's like to suffer with carpal tunnel syndrome both physically & emotionally. I also sympathize with those spending time and money looking for SOMETHING that helps. For me, Penetrex was very effective.
